LYNCH FILES TESTIMONY IN OPPOSITION TO HB-6200

Dan took time out from his 32nd District State Senate campaigning efforts to write to leaders and members of our Joint Committee on Judiciary in OPPOSITION to H.B. 6200, AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT, proposed by Representatives Simmons (144th), Tong (147th) and Fox (148th). Rep. Tong is also co-chair of the Committee.

Over the last decade, Dan has studied extensively and met with experts in various aspects of constitutional law. While his personal advocacy efforts thus far have focused on Amendments I, IV, V, and XIV of our Federal Constitution, he is a strong supporter of all constitutional rights and opposes government interference and/or legislation which seeks to infringe upon these rights.

Watertown's Bagley Heads to State Geography Bee!

Watertown and other area residents will be represented proudly in Hartford very soon, but I'm not talking about the Special Election. I'm referring instead to the great showing by Lance Bagley, 11, a Swift Middle School 6th grader who won the district Geography Bee, beating out all other 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Lance now heads to the Connecticut State Bee to be held on Friday, March 31, 2017.

The champion from each state will qualify to compete in the National Geographic Bee Championship to be held at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C., May 15-17, 2017.
